Dr. Donald Eischen bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 2222 West Cliff Dr. in Santa Cruz for $2.2 million from the Stoops Trust on April 18.
Dr. Eischen is a psychologist who authored Mirror Up to Nature, a book that features poetry based on the psychological phases of life. He currently runs a part-time psychology practice and is a former psychologist at McLane High School in Fresno. His award-winning poetry earned him an invite to Washington, D.C., in 1997, when he read some of his work during the inauguration of former president Bill Clinton.
He is also a former teacher at California State University-Fresno and Fresno City College. He attended California State University-Fresno, Columbia University and Stanford University, and holds dual Ph.D. honors in psychology and English literature.
