Brooke Randell bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 228 16th Ave. in Santa Cruz for $1.06 million from the Larson Trust on June 12.
The Larson Trust acquired the property in May 1984. The 2,109 square foot house was built in 1965.
Randell has served as a research associate professor in the Department of Psychosocial and Community Health at the University of Washington's School of Nursing.
She also serves as a principal investigator and director of the Reconnecting Youth Prevention Research Program.
As a child/adolescent psychosocial nurse, she specializes in adolescent depression/suicide-risk, drug abuse prevention, depression in parents and parent skills training. She is also a clinical researcher and a certified advanced nurse practitioner.
She holds a doctorate degree in nursing science from the University of California-San Francisco.
